Description
Bannermans holds a rich heritage, rooted in the ancient Scottish tradition. The name "Bannermans" harks back to the esteemed role of the king's standard bearer, known as the "banner man," who carried the monarch's flag into battle with great honor. As one of the few remaining independently owned blended Scotch Whiskies, Bannermans is meticulously crafted by Kensington Distillers & Vintners in Scotland, located just outside Edinburgh. What sets Bannermans apart is its meticulous production process, characterized by a slow distillation method that maximizes copper contact. This technique imparts beautifully fruity flavors to the whisky, distinguishing it from others in its class. Bannermans prides itself on using older, more aged malt whisky compared to other blends. While the legal requirement is a minimum of 3 years of aging, Bannermans selects exceptional 5-6 year old whiskies. This results in a bolder, more complex flavor profile and contributes to its wonderfully smooth and rich character.
